The EOLIS Air Manager Passes ETV Testing – Environmental Technology Verification
3 January 2020
With the support of the ADEME (French Environment and Energy Management Agency), the EOLIS Air Manager is the only indoor air purification device eligible and verified under the European Commission’s ETV* (Environmental Technology Verification) programme.
For NatéoSanté, this verification is the result of more than two years of work to certify the safety and the purifying efficiency of the EOLIS Air Manager professional air purifier. The objective of this programme is to prove the declared reliability and filtration performance in order to facilitate and guide the decisions of buyers who often find themselves buried in the growing offer, which is subject to little or no supervision.
An eco-friendly and efficient air purifier
NatéoSanté, a responsible business, has chosen to eco-design its indoor air treatment devices in order to offer environmentally-friendly air purifiers. Test results from independent French laboratories attest to the total safety of the EOLIS Air Manager. This means that our air purifiers do not emit particles, VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds), NOx or ozone, even when operating. They are the only non-polluting air purifiers—this seems like it should be a given, however... As for the pollutants usually present in indoor air, the EOLIS Air Manager has proven to be ultra-efficient thanks to its medical-grade filter unit (tested according to NF B44-200 and NF EN 16846-1 standards).
Micro-organisms:
-
- Bacteria
-
- Viruses
-
- Spores
-
- Mites
-
- Mould
Airborne micro-organisms spread hospital-acquired infections.
The EOLIS Air Manager has demonstrated excellent results on the elimination of Aspergillus brasiliensis and Staphylococcus epidermidis: 96% caught as of the 1st pass through.Micro-organisms carried by inert air particles also increase the risk of cross-contamination
Particles
-
- Dust
-
- PM2.5
-
- Dander
-
- Fibres
Particles are the cause of many respiratory pathologies (inflammation, asthma, allergies, chronic sinusitis and more). The EOLIS Air Manager’s 10 cm thick filter, including a HEPA filter, catches more than 99.99% of fine particles with a diameter of 0.3 µm.
Chemical Compounds
-
- VOCs
-
- Gases
-
- Odours
-
- Endocrine disruptors
Anaesthetic gases, medicines, detergents and disinfectants used daily can be harmful to medical staff. With the EOLIS Air Manager air purifier, after only 15 minutes of operation, the concentration of Formaldehyde is reduced fivefold and that of Benzene sevenfold.
Thanks to its unique combination of high-performance and established technologies with its individually tested and verified medical-grade filters, the EOLIS Air Manager offers the best balance for effective air purification by acting on all forms of pollutants: micro-organisms, VOCs, gases, fine particles and even stubborn odours.
Safety—a must for NatéoSanté
Safety means no danger. This harmlessness ensures that the EOLIS Air Manager air purifier won’t add anything new to the air in the room it purifies. Although this criterion should be a given, unfortunately, not all air purifiers on the market meet this requirement—but NatéoSanté considers it essential.
To guarantee this safety, NatéoSanté had the support of ADEME through the process of having the performance of its EOLIS Air Manager professional air purifier verified by independent organisations validated by the European Commission’s "ETV" programme.
The results obtained in this test show incomparable air filtration performance, while guaranteeing total safety for users.
ETV, an independent verification of environmental technology performance
The ETV is a European programme for the verification of innovative environmental technology performance by an independent accredited body (ISO 17020). The objective of this programme is to support companies that develop innovative and environmental technologies by independently verifying their performance and reliability.
What is environmental technology?
An environmental technology refers to a technology (product, process or service) that has less of an environmental impact than the standard technologies found on the market.
To determine whether a technology is more environmentally friendly than others, its entire life cycle must be considered, from design, through the manufacturing and assembly phases, to recycling. For NatéoSanté, a major player on the indoor air quality market, the idea of not paying attention to the environmental impact of its air purifiers is inconceivable. For this reason, the environmental criterion is taken into consideration throughout the life cycle of the EOLIS Air Manager.
Why validate the performance of the EOLIS Air Manager within the ETV framework?
This Environmental Technology Verification declaration allows NatéoSanté to independently prove the filtration performance of its professional air purifier. This verification is a true guarantee of reliability, making it possible to validate the exceptional purifying performances of the EOLIS Air Manager air purifier for end customers. It should also be noted that few applicants are eligible for the ETV, that the verification phase is considerably long and that, as a result, few companies complete the whole process. NatéoSanté is therefore proud to have been able to validate, in its entirety, the ETV verification programme.
*"EOLIS Air Manager 1200 technology was certified by RESCOLL on 17/09/2018 in line with the EU’s Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) pilot programme for the treatment of indoor air in homes, offices and other professional environments, including for specific pollutants. The certification number is 180155-DV and can be viewed at the following website address: http://www.verification-etv.fr”
